Dr Bhandaru Sridhar,
Additional Medical Superintendent
Brig Dr. Bhandaru Sridhar joined as the Additional Medical Superintendent GCSMCH &RC on 22.10.2021. He has done MBBS from Pt J.N.M. Medical College, Raipur (CG) in 1985, a gold medalist in Pharmacology, LLB topper from Jiwaji University Gwalior, and did his Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) from the prestigious AIIMS New Delhi in 2006.
Dr. Sridhar is an exceptional leader with over 35 years of managerial experience in Army hospitals across the country. He has served in Army Medical Corps in various administrative, professional, and teaching appointments. As Brigadier he has commanded Military Hospital Ahmedabad and held the prestigious appointment of Brig (Medical) Armed Forces Medical Services (HR) in the office of DGAFMS, Ministry of Defense, New Delhi, Brig Administration AFMC Pune, Brig (Medical) Headquarter Southern command Pune.
He has expertise in conceptualizing measures in operational procedures to optimize resource/capacity utilization, spearheading cost-saving measures. He believes in improvement initiatives in processes, man-management / Leadership/rendering support to juniors & seniors and carries with the team. He has a stronghold and understanding of the accreditation standards of NABH and is also an assessor since 2013.
With his law background, he also has expertise in handling medico-legal court cases in the Armed Forces for more than 20 years. Apart from that he has also had a wide teaching background and has been a faculty in AFMC Pune. He has been an examiner and Paper Setter for the MHA (Masters in Hospital Administration) Program. with MUHS (Maharashtra University of Health Sciences) Nashik.
