ENTITLEMENT: The following categories of persons shall be entitled to be enrolled as members of "The Association" with payment of due fees.
Patron member: The Dean, by virtue of his office holding, will become Patron Member of the Association. He will not be eligible to participate and to vote at GBM.
Life time member: All past medical students, who were once on the rolls of GCSMC as undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, and have completed their studies, are eligible to become lifetime member on paying the Membership fees as prescribed by the Association on time to time, and applying in the prescribed form. They will be eligible to participate in all activities, and to attend and to vote at General Body Meetings (GBM).The life time membership fees will be Rs.1000/- per alumni with the provision to change as per time, inflation and needs of the Association.
Privilege Member: The existence of the privilege member shall come after 10 (Ten) years of existence of the Association. Only those life time members who have a life time membership for more than 10 years, have donated at least Rs.50,000/- during 10 years of their life time membership and/or significantly contributed in the functioning of the Association and who do not hold any office will be eligible to become Privilege Member. The duration of the Privilege Membership shall be five years. The Privilege members will be entitled to a set of new benefits in addition to the benefits entitled under the life time membership.
Honorary member: All past and present teachers of the ranks of assistant professor and above, who have served the institute for at least five years and who are not the past students of GCSMC are eligible for Honorary membership of the Association on applying in the prescribed form. There will be no membership fees for the honorary membership. They will be eligible to participate in all activities of the association. They will not be eligible to participate and to vote at GBM.
Special Council Member: The Ex. Governing Council member may continue as "Special Council Member (SCM) with equal rights as of council members.
