Histopathology

Almost four thousand specimens in a single year are processed in the histopathology section, GCS Medical College.

Pap smear - a technique by which screening for cervical cancer is done by taking a scrape smear from the cervix is also available. The various facilities in the cytopathology section are: -

We have the facility of minimal invasive procedures such as Fine Needle Aspiration cytology (F.N.A.C.) for rapid diagnosis of lesions on an outdoor basis
